In: The Reds have recruited Wales Under 19 international goalkeeper Danny Ward from fellow North West club Wrexham. He will play for the reserves. (30th January)

Joao Carlos Teixeira has joined Liverpool's Academy. The 19-year old Portuguese youth international played and netted at Anfield earlier this season in the new NextGen series and clearly impressed Comolli and co. enough for them to sign him. (1st February)

Out: Liverpool and Scotland centre back Danny Wilson has joined Championship outfit Blackpool on a youth loan until the end of the season. Signed for an initial fee of £2 million from Rangers, many expected Wilson to be the long-term contender for Jamie Carragher's 'throne' at the heart of the Reds' defence.

Unfortunately, Wilson has struggled to make an impact on the first team and has rarely played. Moreover, the arrival of highly rated Uruguayan defender Sebastian Coates from Nacional in January for a sizeable fee of approximately £7 million provided Wilson with yet more competition for a place in the side and pushed him into the shadows of the edge of the first team squad.

Nevertheless, moving temporarily to Blackpool should allow him the opportunity to experience first team football at a decent level. Also, team-mate Jonjo Shelvey recently returned from a short but impressive spell on the Seaside and has since forced his way into Kenny Dalglish's plans, making his first Premier League start at Aston Villa and featuring regularly from the bench. Wilson will hope to follow in his footsteps. (31st December)

David Amoo has had his loan to Bury extended until the end of the season. Amoo will look to continue his good form at Gigg Lane and add to the two goals he has already bagged. (2nd January)

Goalkeeper Martin Hansen has joined Danish side Viborg FF after making no impact on the first team following his arrival at the Academy half a dozen years ago. (31st January)
